Yorubas of Atlanta

Special Task - As Needed

* Conduct/Propose Yorubas of Atlanta officer nominees during election

Organization Development

* Record/Recommend any amendments or changes to the constitution / By-Law.

* Prepare/Distribute annually any changes/amendment in the organization constitution and By-Laws to members.

* Formulate goals for the Yorubas of Atlanta.

Budget/Financial Affairs

* Coordinate/manage all fund-raising activities for the Yorubas of Atlanta.

* Schedule at least two major fund-raising events per year.

* Conduct Audit and Bank reconciliation account of the Yorubas of Atlanta.

* Initiate collection of outstanding dues.

* Review/Approve any expenses in excess of $50.00

Community/Cultural Affairs

* Function as liaison between the Yorubas of Atlanta and the community to project a positive image for the Yorubas of Atlanta.

* Provide Yorubas Historical records (artifacts, books etc) to the Yorubas of Atlanta and the community.

* Organize/Coordinate events (soccer, picnic, camping, field trip)

* Promote Yoruba culture by teaching the language, story telling song, drama, and dance.

Government Affairs

* Develop sensitivity to the political situation in Nigeria and our host country.

Social Affairs

* Promote cooperation among members to enhance earning capability.

* Propose/Host social events.
